Carlotta Friedberg is a fictional character rooted in two distinct territories, one genealogical and the other inspired by Antonio Muñoz Molina's novel "Carlota Fainberg", in which the boundaries between real and unreal become blurred.

In order to give Carlotta Friedberg a body and a voice, an epistolary dialogue has been established between the artist and the fictional character in the chosen format of postcard.

The researcher is both the narrator and the keeper of this archive, made up of objects, documents, maps, images and texts, with which she tries to trace the thread of history, to imagine her ancestress and the legacies that flow from her.

The installation involves both physical and mental movement and displacement. The element of water, as a living organism, is the common thread.

Narrative relationships are woven that echo the everyday, the imaginary and the fragile. They allow to address issues related to climate change, gender and the notion of care.
